Sail Away Party

Embarkation officially commenced at 3pm at the Admiralty Pier Cruise terminal No1, Dover. However when we arrived at 2.45pm passengers were already boarding. Coming round the cliffs into Dover we got a lovely view of both Braemar and MS Deutschland berthed at the quay. There was a short queue to off load the luggage and pay for the parking [£5 p/d]. No lines for boarding, a complimentary drink in the terminal [the old port railway terminus], photo and onboard within 15 mins from parking. After the mandatory muster, it was off to the Marquee Deck around the pools for the Sail Away party, complimentary fruit [alcoholic] punch or juice and band playing on deck. Quite a festive atmosphere. We sailed at 6pm, following MS Deutschland [on her way to Scilly] out of Dover. 154 NM to Ijmuiden.
